The Vulva Gallery Manifesto

I believe every body is worthy of love, representation, and visibility.
The Vulva Gallery exists to show that vulvas come in infinite shapes, shades, sizes, and stories — and all are valid.

For 9 years now – through art, storytelling, and education, and together with a worldwide community – we’ve been challenging shame, dismantling stigma, and reclaiming space for vulvas in their wonderful diversity. We’ve created a gentle, inclusive platform where people — especially those marginalised by gender norms — can feel seen, affirmed, and celebrated.

Silence is a breeding ground for shame.
For too long, vulvas have been hidden, misrepresented, sexualised, or erased. The Vulva Gallery has been breaking this silence through creativity, compassion, and community.

When a platform like this is suspended, it’s not just about lost posts — it’s about the active suppression of voices. Voices of women, trans people, non-binary people. People of all ages learning to accept (and even love) their bodies. Survivors reclaiming agency. People from all around the world fighting back against shame and oppression with softness and compassion.

Censorship of body-positive, inclusive education is a threat to health, identity, and freedom.
The suspension of The Vulva Gallery reflects a wider issue: the policing of bodies and the suppression of those working to liberate them. We stand against this erasure. We will not be quiet. We will not stop.

Every vulva, every body, has a story. And each story deserves to be told.
And we’ll keep telling them — online, offline, and everywhere they are needed.

For now, we’ll keep fighting to get The Vulva Gallery back. Here’s how you can help.
