"She deserves it"

“I chose to have my vulva painted because I feel she deserves it. After all the hardship she has been through, from me especially. Growing up you see images of what a "perfect" vulva is, anything other than that was considered "untidy" or "a ham sandwich". People would also assume/say that if your vulva was anything less than the "perfect" image put out, then you probably sleep around, making it appear "loose".

When I first saw all these comments, I was 13 – a child that had never done anything more than a kiss. I was mortified and felt disgusted with myself and my vulva. It was at that age I stopped wearing bathing suits in confidence and I began looking at labiaplasty in preparation for when I'd be older.

Now, I am 23 and I'm starting to LOVE my vulva. Now instead of hiding I model lingerie and express the differences and uniqueness of bodies through my art. I'm not 100% confident, but I'm definitely on the right path and I know that no matter what, everyone is unique, everyone is different and everyone is PERFECT ☆”
